Multiplayer?

Saw this, remembered having lots of fun playing the original version back in the silver age of xbox 360 indie games. Bought 4 keys, hoping to play it with friends. Turns out it's only local co-op, but that's fine because I got all 4 keys on sale. What *ISN'T* fine is that the game doesn't recognize my gamepads (Afterglow Wireless PS3 Controller), even via the usage of x360ce (both 32- and 64-bit versions). Many other steam games recognize my gamepads (be it with or without running x360ce), and there doesn't appear to be any other way to play with other people, either... So am I screwed?

Ah nevermind, turns out it does work with x360ce but you need to run it directly within the game executable's folder (Steam > Right click game > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files)
