Won't Launch

I get to the point of the game displaying with things like "Play", the control setup, etc., but it isn't going beyond that once I hit the play button. The time I did get past, it took my serial number and never did anything after that.

I understand there are problems with this game currently, or something, but I haven't seen this particular one on the forums yet.

PHYSx wont load with ATI cards btw. It's an Nvidia feature. Stupid it automatically installs on ATI. I think Physx will run on your CPU if it's enabled istead of a GPU. All I know is I always turn it off since I don't use Nvidia.

Go to Nvid physx loader under start menu, if you use ATI it should be turned off by default on teh system. No idea why the game "Forces" it enabled could be causing issues.

i know that physx is a nvidia gpu feature only, for ati users like me it runs not on the gpu but on the cpu. like i said i can have that feature on at maximum settings on borderlands 2 and have no problems. and again, i can't change anything about settings in bm aa because at the splash screen with play, settings and other i will never arrive. bmlauncher.exe crashes instantly, the only way i can change settings is to look into the game folders for the .ini file about the settings and change manually there something. i already looked and tried to change something like resolution, fullscreen toggle, detail level, disable some features that may cause the crash but nothing. bmlauncher keep crashing instantly after i hit play on steam and it finishes the "prepare to launch" phase. if someone can post the files and folder structure of the game i can make a check on them...

Install the Microsoft Marketplace thing, thats how it started working for me; and I'm using Windows 8

have you read the previous posts or what?
i have EVERYTHING up to date: physx, directx, all drivers, GFWL, c++ redistributables, .net framework, all the software needed.
cache is ok, deleted and redownloaded the whole game (which steam support just told me to do today, procedure i have done like 4 times already).
no dice. AA won't launch even if i start to pray in thailandese. and you suggest to install "Microsoft Marketplace thing" (which is Game For Windows Live, GFWL for the friends), something that i have installed years ago and had always updated since i use it for W40K DOW2, DIRT2 and DIRT3 (with no problems).
i'm not gonna repeat myself anymore, since this is the third or fourth (??) time already.
i'll download it and try on my notebook. if it won't work even there: well, rocksteady and wbgames can go fook themselves.

It's not only the marketplace thing most people need to uninstall Erro:r.

2 files need to be erased. GFWL marketplace, and the GFWL REDISTRO right under, or above it. They dont uninstall at the same time when you choose one or the other.

But yeah, Sirflegias I already said I have no idea. I'm not a support agent, I Compiled the most common problems on my thread about this since I had these sam problems when I first loaded windows vista years ago, windows 8 months ago.

Sorry it's of no help not much more I can do for ya though.

don't worry grey, i'm not saying that to you, but at erro:r.
anyway when i uninstalled and reinstalled GFWL i did for both the redist like burnt man said. this is not the first time i have to deal with GFWL so i know how to take care of that.

well. on my notebook it will run. well, at least it gets on the splash screen without crashing. no idea why on my desktop won't launch. on my notebook i have only one hard drive, and steam is installed there like the OS. on my desktop pc i have 2 hard disks: the ssd where is installed the system and the second one where is installed steam with the games. maybe that's the issue, somewhat bmaa can't recognize its position.. just wondering, i'll ask the support about

One thing that will prevent this game to lauch, is if you moved your My Documents folder to another location.

- Restore default location right clicking it. Do not move your files, no need to.
- Launch the game and let it create save files.
- Close the game, and restore again My Documents to your desired path. Do not forget to move 'Eidos' folder.
- Profit.

already knew about that, my documents folder is where is supposed to be. there's only one thing: batman aa in "my documents" folder is not into the edios folder. in fact, edios folder doesn't even exist. it is under a "square enix" folder, and i don't know why. i already tried to rename it to edios but steam launcher says that there are corrupted files that need to be redownloaded, so it recreates the square enix folder and the edios one won't even get scanned by the game. that could be a reason of why it crashes? because it has it's save and config files into a folder that doesn't recognize because it has another name?
