Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition

Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition

Games for Windows Live.
Hello all, I am having a bit of an issue. Previously, I had no problem getting into the game and logging into my Games for Windows Live(GFWL) account, but now on launch, GFWL doesn't even pop up. No matter what I try to do, it will not access GFWL. I don't believe I have made any changes to my antivirus software, I unblocked GFWL from the start, and unless it was some update that was installed overnight, it doesn't seem to make sense why this has suddenly stopped working.

Edit: To clarify, I can launch the game, but it won't let me access GFWL itself, so I have no saved games.

I am using Win7 64 bit
Advast Free Antivirus 8

Thanks for any help

Well I tried everything. Replaced the Iscoola Pota font, restart the comp, and the games STILL won't take the activation keys. I mean, I DO see a message during the download saying that the key was taking, but for some reason, my computer is not recieving the okay. It keeps saying "Unable To Connect To Server" or something along those lines.
I am having issues getting it to work. Have GFWL installed and I'm logged in. When I click play in Steam, the CD key message pops up. After that I get the games launcher. I click play from that launcher and then my status on Steam says I'm in game, but nothing happens. After maybe a few seconds my status returns to normal. Nothing pops up. My cursor does get the wonderful and helpful spinny wheel for a few seconds as it says I am in game.
Hmm, try right clicking on the games' .exe and running in compatibility mode for WinXP SP3. The launcher .exe should be in your Steamapps folder under the directory you installed steam to.

That didn't make it work either.
I wrote this for Batman C, but you can try it for AA also.

Uninstall gfwl from Control Panel, then download newest version. Install it, then download Microsoft Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant, but first enable Automatic updates on your computer. After you install it, thew game will offer you to create gfwl profile and save. This works on WIndows XP, don't know about other OS.
in trying to contact Microsoft and Games for Windows Live support I discovered the following:
1. The publisher information valve has for the game is incorrect
2. Warner Brothers does not offer any support for Windows Live
3. Windows Live no longer exists on Microsoft's web pages and the phone number for Windows Live is now part of XBOX Live (877 274 4349).
4. XBOX Live does not offer any form of technical support for Windows Live.
5. Microsoft actually has a Return Policy for this game, and told me to ask Steam for a return because my problems would qualify as a return for their store.
Seriously? Wow. Guess I'll HAVE to stick with the console version of these two games.
