Demo?
Is there a demo somewhere to test this game out? I mostly want to know if I can run it.

Yes there was a demo when the game was first released, simply search Google (or another search engine) for "Arkham Asylum demo". Unfornately it never made its way to Steam, don't know why.

I found the demo on the microsoft site, unfortunately it has a size of 2GB and their servers don't help either, ~1MB/s download speed, but I could've downloaded it much faster from the steam servers or through torrent (where I get an average of 6MB/s).

Anyway, thanks for the reply!

No problem at all. If I'd found a download site which I knew was fast I would have posted it.

That site is never accurate. Acually you'd be better off trying to search the system requirements on game-debate.com and then comparing them with your actual hardware (they have an option that allows you to do that and it gives a better insight on your system as it has ratings for each part - ram, cpu, gpu).

Thank you all for the replies though. I bought both games but I won't add them to my library untill I get my hands on a demo - it would be a waste of money.

Arkham City has slightly higher hardware requirements than Asylum, it needs especially more RAM in my experience.

A great way to know if you can run it would be reading the system requirements. How are people this stupid?

There is a demo in the store page, why are you looking somewhere else? ._.
Both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City have demos on Steam.

Implying that reading some system requirements is the same as actually playing the game and seeing how it behaves on a given configuration.
How are people this stupid?

I can't see any demos on the store page. I think it may be due to my region or something, I don't know.
