Problems with Grate Takedown

Im currently attempting to do the invisible predator challenge map however my grate takedown isnt working, the thug can walk right over the grate but i never get the prompt stating to take him down, i keep spamming right click but it isnt working, is anyone else having this problem? any help would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, this medal didn't explain well enough.

There is no grate takedown in AA, it was introduced in Arkham City so in order to get that medal you just have to exit the grate and then perform a takedown.

You sure about this? I would have been lost as well. Could have sworn the grate takedown indeed work in Asylum?

Yes, I'm absolutely sure. The gameplay is very similar in the two games but there are a lot of subtle differences: I was replaying Arkham Asylum this week and I had to force my mind to forget some mechanics from Arkham City like that drop attacks function as drop takedowns in Asylum and you can perform them by dropping on top of an enemy while hanging from a ledge. :D Asylum is a bit more complicated. :D
