[Tweak] Level Up Earlier In Game

The following simple Tweak enables players to unlock the first 10 Combat and Armor Upgrades earlier when starting a new game, before Batman escapes Intensive Treatment. This will also serve to unlock Achievements earlier in the game for new players. Always make a backup copy before tweaking any game files, just in case.

Locate your DefaultGame.ini in this Directory:
Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY \ BmGame \ Config \ DefaultGame.ini

Open DefaultGame.ini in NotePad, and find following line:
[BmGame.RExperienceSystem]

You will find lines titled "XPCurve" with 20 increasing values.

Example:

Reduce XPCurve values to read as follows:
[BmGame.RExperienceSystem]
XPCurve=200 ; 1 - this is hardcoded, tell Ben if you want to change it
.XPCurve=200 ; 2
.XPCurve=250 ; 3
.XPCurve=300 ; 4
.XPCurve=350 ; 5
.XPCurve=400 ; 6
.XPCurve=450 ; 7
.XPCurve=500 ; 8
.XPCurve=500 ; 9
.XPCurve=500 ;10

Alter only the first 10 XPCurve lines by deleting a zero, reducing their values to 10%, otherwise the game will display a distracting "Upgrade" icon on your screen far before an upgrade unlocks during gameplay. Expedited levelling up will occur after attaining the first 2000 XP points. This is hardcoded into the game.

If you 100% every battle and locate all available Riddles and Trophies, you should have at least 10 upgrades before leaving the Intensive Treatment building. I recommend upgrading the 10 Combat Moves and Armor first, saving the last 10 Gadget upgrades for later in the game.

Using this system, you should have all 20 upgrades before completing the Penitentiary mission. Aside from ranking up earlier, this modification will not otherwise affect gameplay.
