Mac OS X: Installation issues [RESOLVED]

[UPDATE] All access issues regarding the Mac version have been resolved and all owners of the game now have access to the Mac version as well as the original Windows title.

We are aware of some issues with a few users where packages of the game not enabling on the Mac. Everyone who has Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY in their game list should be able to install the Mac version.

I installed on my mac then started playing and it erased my PC save!! How can I get my PC save back, I played for so long on PC. Why is there no warning that the save game from PC won't transfer to MAC.

Is there a way to transfer my PC save to Mac? When I load up the game, the save slot reads "Arkham Mansion, OLD -- NO DATE STORED." Is Steam Cloud not cross-platform?

We have not seen any examples of this happening from other users (we also tested PC / Mac all the time during testing so we know it works fine). Did you perhaps click on the wrong option when it prompted you about Steam cloud saves and you deleted your PC save with a newer save with less progression on your Mac?

As long as your save games on Mac and PC are using the latest version of the game (no older GOTY) then your save game sync should work fine.

Yes the Mac and PC version are on the same. I just let steam update them whenever it asks. I've been playing on my Mac. Now if I load up my PC one it overwrites the Mac save which i dont want to do now because I've been playing all the way up to where I was.

Is there a way to back up my local mac save, then reinstall the PC one and hopefully it will download the correct save?

This sounds like a bug with the Steam client and syncing. We have not had any other complaints so that's the most likely issue. If you contact support http://support.feralinteractive.com or read the FAQs that come with the game there are details on where your settings and save game are stored which could help if you want to try your backup and restore idea.

If you are trying to play for the first time on a mac, after having played on windows, select a fresh save and it'll work. Don't select your windows save.

I wanted to resume my save that I was playing on the windows computer, i figured that should be supported.

Mac / PC saves should not delete each other or have other issues. If you have problems contact Feral support and we can investigate.
