Or get an earlier GPU like a 1050ti to put in a second slot to use for 32-bit physx.

No, never. Nvidia has killed physx with the 5 series and latest drivers do not even include it.

Drivers include it but only for pre-RTX50 cards.

CUDA Driver will continue to support running 32-bit application binaries on GeForce RTX 40 (Ada), GeForce RTX 30 series (Ampere), GeForce RTX 20/GTX 16 series (Turing), GeForce GTX 10 series (Pascal) and GeForce GTX 9 series (Maxwell) GPUs. CUDA Driver will not support 32-bit CUDA applications on GeForce RTX 50 series (Blackwell) and newer architectures.

my workaround I bought a single slot 3050 that only uses pci express power no power connector
My mobile 4090 used to run the physx on this game, but now the launcher does not recognize it. Any idea why?

4000 series should work. Would have to be driver or settings issue if it doesn't.

One thing it may be possible to do, is for the community to make some sort of "wrapper" that creates a "fake" PhysX GPU that the game will see, while internally running 64-bit CUDA so the 5000 series will work. This is absolutely something that could be done. How much work it would take, I don't know.
