Save Game Location

Can anyone tell me where the save game is located for this game? I've seen that there are loads of articles explaining how to move save games from the old GFWL version to the Steam version, but I've only ever had the Steam version.

I've looked in Steam\userdata\XXXX\35019, where XXX is the user account, but that directory doesn't exist, It's not a hidden folder either.

I do have a folder in My Documents called SquareEnix\BArkham Asylum\Save Game, but the contents of this are 536.7kb, so that can't be right can it?

have all savegames now moved? if so where too.

Even though you owned it on Steam, the (GOTY) game used to be GFWL before october 2013.
But since then, GFWL has been removed and replaced by Steamworks.

So before october, saves were stored in:
"Documents\Square Enix\Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY\SaveData"
but are now stored in:
"Steam\userdata\<userid>\35140\remote"

Thankyou for your reply, I try to follow that path but only get as far as.

"Steam\userdata\"

This is because <userid> does not exist... and yes I know that <userid> means my own user ID, but there are only folders with numbers in there, is one of those numbers my actual numerical ID? if so, how can I identify which?

Oh, I use Razer Game Booster which syncs my save files into my Dropbox (just as another Backup incase Steamcloud ever fails) but it can't find Batman saves in order to sync

Savegames only weighs a few kb. From 64 to 90 I think.

Ooops sorry.
I read your previous post a bit too quickly.
The saves should be called "saveX.sgd" where X+1 is the slot number in-game.

Also popping in to say thanks. I need to do a reinstall and I'm not sure it's cloud saving. I'm pretty sure it isn't, in fact. I don't have a great rig right now but I can play Red Ded 2 on ultra as long as it's the only thing open but I added a few mods to Arkham Asylum and it's like I shot the game in the kneecap.
