How I use long-range cryptographic sequencer?

I dont know why I can't use long-range cryptographic. I did upgrade range of course. Is it just running right mouse button hold and clik left to target? Is there any activate usage? Damm this made me do not complete Riddler Challenges. Please someone help me!

You don't understand how to use it at all or just wondering what long range does?
If second, then it just increases the range, you know. That means you can hack terminals, which are further. The usage is the same.

Well I know your point. But my device didn't activate further range. If I want to use, I have to close to target like before range upgrade.

Well, I have never really checked the range increase after upgrade. You say you can't gain access to some of the terminals because of that? Can you provide an example?

ps. I use custom language patch, but other the patch users do not have my problem.

The problem is - that upgrade is not the one you show. The increasing range one is on the left from the one you have unlocked. That's probably language patch's mistake.

left? not right? In my upgrade window, range extend upgrade show on right end of line.

Yes, the left one. I guess in the patch they have switched places of descriptions. The picture of upgrade is pointing at the real meaning.

The power up you upgraded makes it easier to hack devices. Basically it won't take you as much as before to see the screen of the device go green when you hack a panel.

One more thing, after you upgrade the range, you should be able to see the machine you are going to hack. Other wise it does not work.

Many thx everybody! I solved this issue. As G-man said, My language patch did not take last offical patch. Power Up and Range extend description-text were switched. I cleared all Riddler challenges finally!
