I have a few concerns with Batman Arkham Origins though, which I am hoping someone may be able to address. I heard from my friend that the game gets very repetitive and boring after a while. He also said that it’s very similar to Batman Arkham City and greatly prefers that one over Origins. According to some reviews I found online, Batman Arkham Origins is a good game but not as great as the other entries in the Batman Arkham franchise. These sources say that Origins doesn’t have much innovation or variety, and that some of the boss fights are kind of disappointing. That is why I am a bit on the fence about the buying the game. I'm mostly worried about the game getting repetitive after some time, which may cause me to get bored and not enjoy the game as much as I may like to. Please let me know what you think. Thanks again for your help.

Additional Notes and Questions:
I also heard that if someone were to buy this game that buying the season pass is a waste and it’s better to get the “Cold, Cold Heart” DLC instead of it as the others are just cosmetic items and nothing story related. Is that you would recommend?

If you have the Arkham collection play that first before considering to buy Origin.
In terms of chronological order of the games, its:
Arkham Origins
Arkham Origins: Blackgate
Arkham Asylum
Arkham City
Arkham Knight
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
I would advise playing Origins after City though because it builds on the combat mechanics of City, so going from Origins to Asylum might feel limiting.
Origins also suffers with the most glitches and gamebreaking bugs among all Arkham titles.
Falling through the map, Losing Speed suddenly during Gliding because of sudden Dolphin animation, etc.
However, it has some of the best boss fights in the series,
even Deathstroke which reuses Arkham City's Ra Boss Fight parts managed to get a lot of praise.
I'd suggest you to play either Asylum or City first, then decide for yourself whether or not you enjoy the gameplay loop.
Thanks
I appreciate it. Thank you.
lol yeah sometime I do like to hunt down all the trophies if I like the game enough. Thank you so much for your feedback on my question. I greatly appreciate it.
Skip Origins or play it at the end if you still want more Batman. It's just not on the same level as the main games.
Thank you
P.S. No, you can skip Origins
