I changed the one called defaultengine.ini, found where the smoothing etc. is and only changed this file, saved, then put it to read only and it worked.
I didn't change the other engine file
Has anyone had any success in removing the cap in version 1.1?
Navigate to
Open BmEngine.ini (might just be called BmEngine depending on Windows filename settings)
CTRL + F and search for "bSmoothFrameRate=", by default it will be set as 'TRUE'
Change this to 'FALSE'
or
Keep it set to true and below set the "MaxSmoothedFrameRate=" to your monitors refresh rate +2.
So if you have a 144Hz monitor, it should look like this...
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=146.000000
With either fix you do, make sure you set the file as read-only, otherwise the game will default back to the 62 fps cap.
Personally I have the bSmoothFrameRate= set to false and in the NVIDIA Control Panel for the game I use half rate adaptive sync.
