Stuck in batcave...

How many years since this game released and there are still gamebreaking bugs in the craptastic game.

I cant get out of the batcave right after I get the grappling hook. There are NO boxes to pull away, yet, I get blocked when I try to jump on the platform. This is beyond ridiculous. Get your ♥♥♥♥ together Rocksteady.

That's weird, I've never heard of this bug before. Have you tried restarting the game and verifying the game cache? That might help.

I restarted and re-installed the game multiple times. Issue remains.

Try verifying game cache. It sounds like some files are failing to install.

100% succesful, problem remains.

I saw some posts on steam with the same problem dating from 2013...

Starting over is the only thing that might help. I dont think thats acceptable solution though.

Yeah, it seems like it's something with the save file. I know it sucks, but you're not that far into the game, so it could be worse. Maybe just take a break from it for a while and when you come back to it, start from the beginning.

I tried. The SS of batman stays black. (anyone know why? W10) Found a video in the cave. When you enter at 1m35sec. I cant see the any of the five boxes on the left. I only see the two on the right. When I try to jump towards the platform with the three boxes,I get blocked. I make the jump, but when my feet should hit the platform I just fall down in between the platforms.

Have you tried aiming the batclaw at the platform where the boxes should be? It seems like maybe their collision is there but they aren't being rendered for some reason, so maybe you can still pull them off.

It's a bit of a long shot, but it's worth a try I guess.

Yes, was one of the first things I tried. The hook just bounces off.

A. If you're using Windows 10, did you click on your legacy redistributables?

B. As LapTop suggested, did you verify and patch your game?
1. Select game in Library, right-click Properties, then Updates to Allow Background Downloads.
2. Select game in Library, right-click Properties, then Local Files and Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

C. Did you try forcing DX9?
1. From the Steam desktop client, click Library, Batman Arkham Origins
2. From Batman Arkham Origins, right-click Properties, General, Set Launch Options
3. Copy and paste or type the following, including hyphen: -d3d9

D. If playing on a small monitor is your screen resolution maxed out? If so, reduce it.

Thanks for your ideas JonoAMano. Sadly none of them seem to work.

A. Ran all three, no change.
B. Already did earlier in the week, ran it again today. Both 100%, no change.
C. Tried -d3d9, no change.
D. Tried messing around with resolutions, no change.

This was another game thought i had a issue with Dead Space where the battery didn't show up I guess it falled through the world I had to restart the game, because reloading the save didn't help or restart the game. I never had any issues with this game thought.

Alternatively, you might be a pirate (or an innocent victim) suffering the games DRM.

Yes, I pirated it by downloading from the steamstore. Seriously -.-?

Restarted the story and i'm passed that part of the game now.
