.net framework error, tried all fixes nothing works

any idea? about ready to just give up and never play this game

i found out what works. if ur like me and tried everything and nothing is working, try this:
go to steamapps>common>batman arkham asylum goty>redist>directx
then just run "DXSETUP" and let it install. even if u already have directx just run this then try starting the game and it should work

If there is anyone else experiencing a similar problem, another fix that I found was downloading something called Registry .net framework from the Microsoft website, all computers should ideally have this but I didn't for some reason so just download and set that up from the official Microsoft website. This'll actually get the game to register the .net framework files thus making it work. Might now work 100% but it did for me and probably will for most too.

For those who are yet struggling to open the game in win 11, check this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1a81RjUllU I think the problem is some conflict with other .net versions.

Try this:

Right-click on the windows icon down left.
-> Search
-> type windows features
-> TURN OFF .Net Framework 3.5
-> restart the pc/laptop
-> Then start the game via steam
-> it says, you`ll need .Net Framework 3.5
-> agree and download
-> start the game

This helped for me, after all the other tips and tricks did not help. I also tried everything. I even downloaded .Net Framework 3.5 directly from Microsoft but failed to install. This was the only way I could fix it.

so im having trouble understanding where to go exactly im on a laptop and windows 11 so idk how to do all this

Mine the dxsetup that is included in the game did not work after installing so I tried to download it from microsoft, install it then it worked. My computer is using windows 11 if you asked.

Batman Arkham Asylum error "Microsoft .net framework. Unhandled exception has occurred...."

I tried fixing .net framework - no joy.

The game was working previously, so I was wondering, what changed on my PC? Then I remembered uninstalling Nvidia GeForce...

I reinstalled Nvidia GeForce Experience > Drivers > GeForce Game Ready Driver -- IT FIXED IT! No reboot was required.
