Stuck on a ledge in second Scarecrow sequence!

I purchased a legit copy of the GOTY edition, and decided to fire it up just for kicks. Everything has been fine, except when I'm in this part of the game, and I'm hanging from a ledge to shimmy down, none of my commands are working. Checked online, and there were similar problems back in the day, but nothing recently. Anyone have a fix?

If for some reason these commands aren't working, lower your screen resolution.

I had this very same problem. The game uses the same key for dropping down from a ledge as for crouching. If you have the toggle crouch mapped to some key rather than the hold-to-crouch option, try switching it. That fixed my issue, and I could continue with the story. Hope this helps!

Pressing left control worked for me! I had the same problem.

After I changed the 'hold to crouch' to left control, it worked for me too
