You can tweak SweetFX to your liking though. There's many different presets to chose from as well in the SweetFX database. You can choose from those or make your own. But yeah SweetFX can do wonders if you know how to use it.

Why are you asking us? this is the Steam PC version game forum.
That said, it's a lousy 5 bucks. if that's really a concern for you then you probably have more important financial decisions to worry about it.
Ok. I don't know if the PC or Xbox One X version is the best, but I don't think it makes that much of a difference to make it worth a double dip. The youtube videos show better detail for the remasters on some aspects but not as much or worse in others.
It's not redundant. The new versions are simply updated for the newer consoles. There's plenty of comparison videos available, go watch them and decide for yourself. But again, for 5 lousy dollars, what are you really risking?
It's a matter of personal preference more then anything else really. For example, If I wanted to play the games on my consoles I'd get them. But I don't, so I won't.
The weather effects with its rain and pools of water much more detailed on the console version. The leather look of Batman's suit on my Xbox One X also looks more detailed than on my PC version.
Of course, as has been detailed in youtube comparisons, some aspects are better on PC, but I thought the Return to Arkham remaster was well done in many areas as well.

Inside Arkham Asylum itself though the PC version looks better.
