I did it only with KBM and they were tricky to get through.
Other than that it's pretty simple. Just avoid the light from his eyes, and you can't go wrong.
Seriously if you're getting messed up on the first of these, which is ridiculously easy, then you really should just stop playing the game.
It might not be the same as other sections, but that's a good thing. It is batman, there is fear gas, there is scarecrow, and the fear gas does cause hallucinations. Where's the problem?
Does a game have to adhere to just a couple of limited gameplay styles? A shooter can't take on any roleplay elements? A flight sim can't have you able to climb out of your ship/plane and walk around?
How boring would gaming be if they did it that way. I know for certain that we wouldn't have my favourite game of all time, metro 2033, if that was the case. Or definitely not as good.
