Titan Poison Ivy Boss Fight

OK, I've seen other people with this very problem but no one seems to want to help with this. I have been fighting poison ivy for the last 2 hours and I haven't managed to hurt her health at all. I've run and dodged and thrown the quick batarang over and over and over and I cannot manage to inflict any damage. The first quick batarang I throw heads towards the pod, after that, they just fly around the base of the plant. Please can someone help me out with this??? I"m playing on easy. I'm even using a trainer, so I don't lose life. Out of a couple hundred throws I should have at least hit the pod and showed some damage, but, like I said, they just fly around the base of the plant, not towards the pod. I know many don't like the use of a cheater, but I get too frustrated and want to continue the story without spending 3 days on a section of a yard or hallway. I've spent 2 days now trying to hit this thing. Any suggestions? Please, please please. Thanks for readind

Yes, I've seen her open it many times, but my batarang still just goes straight... right around the base of the plant. I seems like it must be a glitch. I've watched videos and they don't look like mine. Mine do not head up to the pod, at any time.

Yepper. And tried aiming with the triple batarang too. I saw that suggested. Like I said, my screen just doesn't look like other videos I"ve watched. I wonder if it could be a compatibility thing?

If your in-game screen resolution is cranked to maximum, try reducing it from inside the Launcher for better object and proximity registration. That might help with target lock. This game was developed before 4K was a thing.

Ah. Thank you so much, all of you. But I failed to do the most basic of tasks in attempting to fix a game problem. I failed to verify my files. I often do it as soon as I buy a game, especially a big one, but I didn't. So, when I finally did, guess what. A file was missing. I hope this helps the other people who have posted this question. I am so sorry for taking up your time and once again, thank you all so much. She was easy, LOL

Please tell me more. I have the very same problem. The damn batarangs fly everywhere but on Ivy. What do you mean by telling "A file was missing." Which one and how can I get this file?
Would appreciate an answer very much.

Verify game filea from library, that's what OP did.

I had the same issue, verifying game files didn't do anything. Its something to do with screen resolution on this particular fight. I was using an ultra wide resolution of 3340x1440.

Solution:

• Exit the game and launch it again from Steam
  
• The game doesn't load straight away you get a small launcher app, click into "Settings"
  
• Change "Fullscreen" to No and "Resolution" to 1920x1080
  
• Launch the game and you'll be able to hit the boss now

it was the most difficult fight for me back then, so i learned about a neat trick to withstand 2-3 most difficult fights in the game if the skill is too low - wait before upgrading your melee armor. Each tier of this upgrade fully heals batman, so you effectively can have multiple healthbars in 1 fight

Had to change resolution down to 800x600, but this worked for me. Thanks!
