Batman Arkham Asylum Black Screen

I just bought this game when it was on sale and every time I go to launch the game I just get a black screen until I'm forced to restart my PC any solutions would be greatm.

Ok, Looked thru a few earlier posts, and thanks to teidy heres the solution . don't start game, go into options and change screen resolution, I changed mine to 1920x1080 and it loaded fine
