Indeed it is and once I figure out what's tanking my frame rate I too will be re-enjoying this game. I have no idea what two of these options are.......ambient occlusion? Spherical harmonic lighting?
I suspect ambient occlusion is the way light hits and/or is affected by objects but I'm not sure.
I'll sort it once I conquer my terrible Blood Bowl addiction, I bet it's motion blur, it's always motion blur.
wikipedia /Ambient_occlusion
has a good explanation what AO does
spherical harmonic lighting sounds like bloom-based to me,
i usually disable stuff first that smells like:
- bloom
- vignette
- dithering
- any sim of CRT (makes screen look like old cathode TVs)
when i get performance hits
you had automatic updates turned off on win10? that version of windows doesnt even have that option as far as i know, i know i recently upgraded from Home to Pro and all i can do is "defer feature updates" which i do, in order to NOT get "creators update" because, well, its a microsoft feature update, which autoincludes ruining games
Sadly I have Home Edition so no deference for me.
Oh and it took 4 1/2 hours to even update the damn thing in the first place.
At least most of my game collection still works, due to being between decent desktops I have to play old games anyway for now.
MS wonder why people told them to clear off and hung onto Win 7.
