Wuthering Waves

How do you fix stuttering?
Hey there, I’m new to Wuwa and have a decent PC but when I try to play the game stutters like crazy? Even when I’m using performance. I was curious to see if there is a way to stop it?

as far as i know, there is no fix sadly
From research enthusiasts did, all the stuttering and degraded performance coming from UE4 fundamental structure and thread architecture thats for game of such gigantic scale and level detail as WuWa bottlenecking heavily on CPU side, only solution to make your experience easier is to have something with ridiculous amounts of L3 cache like Ryzen 9 9950X3D. I don't think anything can be done to solve the issue completely other than Kuro changing game engine to a more-open world optimized one, which is obviously not happening any time soon (or at all given the investment already put into their current build of UE4).

No issues with my Ryzen 9 7900X. Without knowing more details there could be other possible causes as well. For example someone recently shared here that they solved it by increasing the size of the GPU shader cache. I would also confirm that the CPU is not in a powersave mode or something.

Oh wow really, whenever I use task manager it never goes all that high

What is your system specs including ssd ?

What SeaSnail said is true, mainly UE4 relying heavily on one single game thread but its not all doom and gloom.

I've played Wuthering waves for almost 1 year now and I have used 2 different system so far.

1st system that I used was:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: 5700XT
RAM: 16GB
SSD: Samsung Evo 970
Settings: 1080p medium settings, RT off and using FSR3.1 on quality preset.

The only thing I did to this system was to increase my cache paging size and nothing else. I didn't particularly stutter but when Lahai Roi was released, I had a constant 30-40 fps in Startoarch academy. That's understandable since I have a very weak CPU and for the most part, I have a steady 60 fps except Septimont and have some dips while moving/flying. This is still true even if I lower the settings.

The system that I use now:

CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
GPU: 9070XT
RAM: 32GB
SSD: Samsung pro 990
Settings: 1440p highest settings, RT on using FSR3.1 upscaled to FSR 4 on quality preset.

I just turned off some Windows telemetry after installing Windows 11 and didn't do anything special. Startoarch is at 88 to 100fps depending on which area and other areas are at a constant 120 fps with some occasional dips.
That's the neat part, you don't.
Right now I have same problem but my problem is probably with GPU since I have Ryzen 9 5900X, 32gb DDR4 and 4060ti 16gb
having it on ssd is mandatory also ensure it's running in dx11
Stable 60 fps is relatively achievable, using frame gen to go from 60 -> 120 fps (lossless, for some reason fsr fg doesn't work properly for me) and it's almost entirely stutter free like this. Since the game logic probably runs every frame meaning the game scales terribly and fg saves you that CPU power. Or you have a 9800x3d and then you can run it natively. If GPU is not enough, simply adjust video settings (lower quality / more aggressive upscaling).
I didn't see you post any info on what you have for a PC, but I don't have any issues on mine (Ryzen 7800 x3D RTX 4070). I suggest not running ray tracing since this game is running Lumen and it won't add a ton. If you have the ability to run frame generation it will smooth out stuttering.
