New maps, id say clear your shader cache folder since you will probably visit less the old maps and let it cook again.

i did that multiple times..just it doesnt initialize recompiling screen unless i download 50gb shaders and steam throw it away because it doesnt match.

Nvidia X Server Settings or nvidia-settings, linux don't have control panel
oh damn lol mb
Have the same problem. Steam's shaders pre-cache decided to download 45GB `transcoded_video.foz` and moderator at github closed the issue saying it's by design. Funny enough, if you disable pre-caching and enable it - it will start to download 45GB again though the file is already there... Probably by design too.

And not only this, every day I tried to enter the game - it downloaded 1.3GB and I had to wait ~10m for recompilation...

I'm not saying that shaders pre-caching is a bad feature, but it's not worth having it with wuwa... Disable it.

Moreover, steam says wuwa is 100GB, but disk usage says it's much more. I don't recall correctly, but definitely more than 30GB over. I have feeling that wuwa use its own shaders only and not steam's pre-cached and steam doesn't see wuwa's compiled shaders thus it's completely broken with wuwa. Just feeling.

I had one funny case when I waited as usual for 1.3GB download and ~10m compilation just to enter the game and the game downloaded patch and asked to restart. I restarted the game and it began to... Recompile shaders. Basically, I had 2 shader compilation sources...

I disabled that ♥♥♥♥ and everything's ok now.
Why the heck do i need to process shaders everytime i boot up on WUTHERING WAVES???
I'm on Arch Linux
On arch hyprland, similar issue. Try these

1. Delete the steam shader cache
location : .steam/steam/steamapps/shadercache/3513350 -> this will free ~51 GB

2. Disable the pre-caching

Go-to : Steam -> settings -> Downloads -> Scroll down -> toggle off the [ Enable shader Pre-caching]

Hope this helps!
Guys, is this something that they are gonna patch, cuz I am genuinely too dumb for any of that

genuinely i have 110gb of shaders and idk wtf is going on
Turn off the stupid Steam Shaders Pre-Load
Let your games do it naturally.

Update GPU Drivers and then go wipe the AMD or NVIDIA folder from %LocalAppData% to wipe your GPU Shader Cache. Shader Cache per game should only be around 1GB
