Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves

WuWa storing 90GB of shaders on my internal drive, help!!
Over the past few days this game has absolutely BALLOONED in size on my Steam Deck. I have a 512GB OLED model and Wuthering Waves is taking up 190GB of it, and 90GB of that is literally JUST shaders.
I've contacted Steam Support, Kuro Games, even asked for help on Reddit and no one has told me how to fix this. Has anyone else experienced this or knows what I should do to fix this? Preferably with instructions I can follow?
Any advice would be incredibly appreciated 🙏

I feel ya, brother. the game's constantly downloading ♥♥♥♥, 2 Gb patch after the other and freaking 40+ Gb patches out of nowhere. I honestly don't know how long I can keep up with this, the game's an absolute data drain and I'm on a very limited and expensive quota.

hello...im lenovo legion user...so idk if this works for you..but it worked for me... you go into steam folder and delete wuwa shadercache folder then disable shader precaching in steam settings so it doesnt download shaders at all...but caqtch is initial gameplay will be stuttery as it compiles shaders as you play..after you played for a whille...it gets better...also use ge proton or proton cachyos..they have necessary codecs for cutscenes.
then use this launch oiptions for wuwa.... __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_PATH=/home/user/Games/WuWa_Shaders/ __GL_SHADER_DISK_CACHE_SKIP_CLEANUP=1 %command%
it moves your shaders to new location so they dont get deleted everytime you reboot...
hope this helps!
