Wuthering Waves

Solved: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED and DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG errors
Leaving here info for some poor soul that might also encounter DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED and DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG errors on NVIDIA 40XX series of cards and possibly other cards on Windows 10. I had this problem a lot after some recent update.

The identified factor for me was VLC media player with DirectX 11 renderer with Super Resolution enabled that was paused on any video that was running in background. After I started to quit VLC before running WuWa, the error does not appear anymore.

So if someone has such error, the first thing might be to quit all background apps before running WuWa and see of the error persists.

Adding to this, i have a 4060 on Win11 and i got this crash. Turn off RTX for now. My crashes then stopped. Dunno if its a nvidia or WuWa thing but for now we cant use RTX. This helped me.

Same here, stopped getting these errors after turning off RTX. Hope it gets fixed because I really like how it looks. But I've had enough of the crashes.
This seems to be an nvidia driver issue. I had to roll back two versions to the March 18th 572.83 driver to fix this issue. You'll have to go to the Nvidia website to download this driver since the app will only rollback to the previous release.

I get this and honestly it may be that I have wallpaper engine and some other apps that run in the background. Tbh I think this is a WUWA problem as no other application gives me any issues. Running a 4080 as well. Hopefully kuro games figures out some way to fix this bc I can just be playing normally until suddenly my entire system locks up.

I also mean that with other programs that use RTX as well as none of those games have ever or do cause me any issues.
ok so i did a rollback too and it worked i am using 572.83 as well its pretty fast and easy to do 0 crash since then and ive been doing everything i used to back when it was crashing. RT on and everything is smooth.
It's ray tracing related. No such issue, if you simply disable it. Filed a report about it to Kuro, but they seem uninterested in actually figuring out how to deal with it.

is not kuro's fault, its also happening to me in Spider-Man 2, same error when using raytracing

It's either Microsoft or Nvidia's fault

After updating Windows to the latest version, Spider-Man 2 seems fixed but wuwa keeps crashing
