wuwa launcher download compaitiblity with steam ver

If I already had Wuwa downloaded through the original launcher, is there any way steam can detect the files on my pc already? Has anyone tried this?

Install steam version, immediately uninstall it once you get the folder in steamapp/common....

then put the content of your wuthering waves game content in the steamapp/common content than install the game again...
