Do you not see the launcher? Can you go to your install file & click on the .exe there? That should open the launcher. I checked my settings, and I don't see any DirectX choice in-game. Hope you figure it out!
You should be able to go in the properties > launch options and change it that way. Example: If you want to put it on directx 12 you would do "-dx12"

This doesn't work, in my case the game still launches in DX11(which is my default) even if I put -dx12 in launch options, at least for now. I think the reason is because Steam (like the default WuWa launcher) opens
Wuthering Waves.exe
first before it opens
Client-Win64-Shipping.exe
where the launch options should be triggering. Idk how the default launcher does it but if anyone can help please let me know.

You could also try -d3d12

I used my rivatuner overlay to confirm that it is in direct12. And just to make sure my overlay wasn't showing it incorrectly, I started a different game that allows you to change the directx version. For that game I have it set to Dx11, which my rivatuner overlay shows.

Yeah, I have tried -d3d12 too and rtss still shows I'm on DX11. I think another reason is because my system/hardware doesn't officially support WuWa's DX12 since my default is DX11 and I can only force DX12 through a shortcut with 'Client-Win64-Shipping.exe' which Steam launch options should be capable of.

Forcing DX12 on a system that isn’t fully compatible is never a good idea due to stability issues. Steam is probably preventing you from forcing a feature set that you aren’t fully compatible with.

what is your spec sir

Just a heads up, the game whitelist/blacklist PC settings based on your hardware. For example: if you don't have a 8 core CPU or latest architecture GPU then you can't enable 120fps mode or RT. I'm sure the game will also force DX11 if it sees you're not compatible with a specific DX12 feature.

I've been playing on DX12 ever since it became available, though it's forced through a shortcut and so far there hasn't been any stability issues. Game looks slightly clearer as well compared to DX11 that's why I kept using it. Also it's definitely WuWa preventing it not Steam because I can still force it manually through a shortcut.

Yeah, this is the main reason. I guess I'm using DX11 from now on until Kuro decides to freely give me the option without me forcing things lol
Im using 7800X3d with 9070XT but steam somehow force me to use DX11 instead.

I finally got it to work through the usual shortcut method! I had thought I needed to add the exe as a non-steam game for the launch options and be able use Steam overlay but then I discovered that just creating a shortcut of 'Client-Win64-Shipping.exe' inside '\Steam\steamapps\common\Wuthering Waves\Client\Binaries\Win64' and adding -dx12 argument there still runs the game as a Steam game.
