Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves

Is there always so much talking in the game or just in the beginning?
New player here, I'm wondering because JRPGs with lots of blabla aren't really my kind of games.

I just started out with the game and I like the combat mechanics etc. but out of my 4 hours of gameplay so far at least 2,5 have been just talking to people and listening.

Is this getting better or is the whole game like this?

It's gonna get better.

The thing was, due to "poor" reception of the 1.0 story during the last beta tests, Kuro had to rewrite the 1.0 story, which has it have a bunch of issues, including a lot of yapping and some bad voice acting, especially Yangyang.

But after the 1.0 story, every story gets better and better.

That's kind of the point of JRPGs. They have big stories. You still spend most of your time just grinding, doing repetitive combat. But the bulk of the actual reason people play is the blabla.

That's the game of course.

At least it gets more coherent after the first few story arcs.

yea, the begining is kinda rough (but already better then it was on release), lots of text and terms, to get you into the world of sol-3. but as you move on the story, it only becomes better, later on even if you CAN skip the cut-scenes, you dont rly want to, just coz you see the effort ppl put in it. so keep it up!

The beginning is so bad it's almost killed the game at launch. It will slowly getting better after Act VI
You could legit just skip most of the beginning. They throw so much stuff at you your going to feel lost or confused in some form. If you do skip you can always watch it later on youtube or read a summary.
