Weapon banner system. (Much more generous than genshin)
It's only 7 but it's already enough difference from genshin.
Here — 10 actual differences, and this is without even getting deep:
Combat system – Different pace and mechanics. Genshin has tight manual combat with elemental reactions. This might lean more into combos, or a looser action-RPG feel.
Gacha mechanics – Different system. Maybe it splits characters and gear, maybe it’s more or less aggressive than Genshin’s banners.
Story and setting – Entirely different lore, world-building, and narrative themes. Not every anime-styled world is Teyvat, man.
Character design philosophy – Genshin has a fantasy-meets-tradition vibe. This one might be sci-fi, post-apocalyptic, modernized — aesthetics matter.
Exploration – Genshin is open-world. The other might be zone-based, mission-based, or more linear.
Multiplayer features – Genshin has limited co-op. The other might be full-on MMO, PvP-based, or have proper guild systems.
Customization – Genshin doesn’t let you tweak much. Some of these games let you change loadouts, skins, skill trees — real RPG stuff.
Performance and platform focus – Genshin is heavy on mobile and console. Others are optimized differently, maybe even PC-first.
Progression grind – Genshin has a Resin system, AR walls, etc. Other games might be faster, more generous, or grindier.
Monetization ethics – Not every gacha is equally predatory. Some are worse. Some are better. Some actually respect your time.
So no, it’s not a clone just because you saw cel-shaded anime graphics and your brain short-circuited. Try playing more than one game before throwing around lazy comparisons.

less childish
caters more to (gooners)
different combat system but still relies on continuously swapping between characters every 1-3 seconds
more time consuming endgame modes (a deal breaker if you hate fomo)
It's an open World as Genshin;
Anime style as Genshin;
There's gacha system as Genshin;
There's stamina system as Genshin;
You can choose Protagonist's gender as Genshin;
There's Battle Pass as Genshin;
You level your characters using World Bosses itens as Genshin;
There's endgame with time attack system as Genshin;
There's World level system as Genshin;
There's exploration as genshin;
In the Open Worlds there's challengers (puzzles, time attack runs) as Genshin;
So it's the same as Genshin because it's the same type of the game (Open World Gacha Anime game). The difference between them is just the focus in some aspects:
Genshin uses a more collorfull color palletes, while WuWa a more dark one
Genshin has a medieval anime artstyle. while WuWa a more apocaliptic/futurist artstyle;
Genshin has a combat focused on elemental reactions; while WuWa is focused on combos
And that's is it. Again, there's no problem in being similar. The problem is both communities being fooled by youtubers that created a "war" Genshin vs WuWa to get views on their videos "comparing" the games (the famous "Genshin Killer" videos) and both comunities didn't noticed that; And now both comminuties wastes their time fighting against their "rival" game instead of talking about their own game. The thing is so ridiculous that if you check some reviews of WuWa here on Steam, you'll see people talking about Genshin...in a Wuwa review lmao.
EDIT: I always recomend for Wuwa comunity avoid these fights because Genshin is already a famous game while WuWa is on their way. It's stupid to try to compete with a popular game. WuWa only have to lose in this "fight" getting a reputation as a toxic community, thus driving away new players. WuWa community must focus in talking about how great the game is, creating cool community around the game and not passing the day talking about other game. Don't be fooled by Youtubers.
