Guide on how to migrate from launcher to Steam
Lots of people asking here if it's possible and I just tested it myself. Yes, it absolutely is possible.

1. Make sure your actual WuWa launcher is up to date.
That's right, my first mistake was not updating the launcher with preloaded files. Make sure to do this before you start copying files.

2. Start download on Steam

3. After "Wuthering Waves" folder gets created in your steamapps/common - Immediately UNINSTALL the game
That's right, don't pause, don't verify. Straight up uninstall it

4. Go to your og game folder (the launcher version) and look for folder called "Wuthering Waves Game"

5. Open the folder and copy everything inside it. (To clarify this is the folder that has exe, Client folder, Engine folder etc)

6. Paste those files into the steamapps/common/Wuthering Waves folder

7. Press install on Steam. It will start verifying files and in few seconds you'll have the entire game working

You can skip the install and uninstall and just make a Wuthering Waves folder in steamapps/common instead. After copying the files and select to install WuWa in the correct drive location, it will validate the files.

or just uninstall the old launcher and download and install the game on Steam. Stop with the download excuse now. It's already 2025. If downloading a freaking 40-50gb game is an issue to you then the problem is on you.

Why download again when you can even just move the files over which takes like 2s.

Starts downloading the game again even with the files in the right location so this didn't work.
*UPDATE*Got it working! For some weird reason having it explained this way made more sense to me.

if you keep your game files in Local Disk C then
(Very imp)
Before copying files make sure you have updated your existing game through web launcher

> Copy "Wuthering Waves game" folder and paste it to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\

> Rename "Wuthering Waves game" folder to "Wuthering Waves"
> Open steam and install wuthering waves
> Let steam verify it
> open the game and download a patch
DONE

This worked from me thank you very much! For anyone that has their game in their D drives, I originally had my game in my D drive but I followed this steps by doing it in the C drive then once verified, I just transferred the files back to the D drive. Hope that may help!

Is my problem that I live in a village with poor network coverage? Why would I download 40 again that will take 5 hours when I can just copy my already downloaded files and play instantly? Do you really think you achieved something with your remark
Wished I had seen this before dumping 60gb redownloading that game again
Lmaoo it works 😆👌
