Guide on how to migrate from launcher to Steam
Lots of people asking here if it's possible and I just tested it myself. Yes, it absolutely is possible.

1. Make sure your actual WuWa launcher is up to date.
That's right, my first mistake was not updating the launcher with preloaded files. Make sure to do this before you start copying files.

2. Start download on Steam

3. After "Wuthering Waves" folder gets created in your steamapps/common - Immediately UNINSTALL the game
That's right, don't pause, don't verify. Straight up uninstall it

4. Go to your og game folder (the launcher version) and look for folder called "Wuthering Waves Game"

5. Open the folder and copy everything inside it. (To clarify this is the folder that has exe, Client folder, Engine folder etc)

6. Paste those files into the steamapps/common/Wuthering Waves folder

7. Press install on Steam. It will start verifying files and in few seconds you'll have the entire game working

You mean to say migrate as in not to have to download the game again, right? I thought the account was cross platform

Yes, the files from launcher to Steam. Accounts are server based, they work everywhere

goated, thanks :praisesun:
Does it works for other games too?
i mean, instead of old ways using steam backup and wait for whole hours to finish, then restore on another pc and wait for hours too.

instead, we use your method, download game > uninstall > copy games file.

can we do it?
Wish I saw this before I redownloaded 40 godd*mn gigs :cqlol:

Starts downloading the game again even with the files in the right location so this didn't work.
*UPDATE*Got it working! For some weird reason having it explained this way made more sense to me.

Before copying files make sure you have updated your existing game through web launcher

> Copy "Wuthering Waves game" folder and paste it to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\

> Rename "Wuthering Waves game" folder to "Wuthering Waves"
> Open steam and install wuthering waves
> Let steam verify it
> open the game and download a patch
DONE
