Some answers and information for people who don't have any idea about this game

First, my english skills aren't at 100%, correct me if I'm wrong in a word 🙂

- What type of game is this?

This is an open world game, you can explore, do challenges and experience the main story, wich is pretty good.


- Are there other playable characters?

Yes, some characters are separated by two categories, wich is 4 star and 5 star, the 4 stars are basically "Rare" type and 5 stars "Legendary" type.


- How can I get more characters?

You can get more characters in the Convene. The 4 star characters are easy to get, meanwhile and as expected, the 5 star aren't.


- What is the "Convene"?

The Convene is a casino-like place where you will need to "gamble" to get more characters. You can make 1 or 10 pulls to get characters and weapons.


- How can I pull for more characters?

You need atleast 160 Astrites to make one single pull, and 1600 to make a 10 pull. You can get more Astrites by exploring and doing challenges/events, it's not that hard to get.


- Can I progress in the game without any 5 star characters?

From my experience... absolutely, you can even progress with the very first two free characters at the beginning of the story, wich are "Yangyang" and "Chixia", Chixia is a great damage dealer for a 4 star character, so this character will be useful for progress. It also depends on your skills, wich the game itself can teach you with tutorials.


Some other things you need to know

- Character build

All characters can reach from level 1 to 90, but level isn't everything, you also need to build them with "Echos", the Echos are creatures in the open world wich you can fight and get once you defeat them. The Echos can have substats, wich is pretty useful for the characters, for example, a Damage Dealer character, will mostly need "Crit DMG" and "Crit Rate" substats to allow them deal more damage.


- Weapons

Of course, the characters need their respective weapons, especially the 5 star characters. there's also 1 to 5 star weapons, you will mostly want 4-5 star weapons for your characters once you make a significant progress in the game.


- Trying to get the 5 star character you want can be frustrating

When you are pulling for the 5 star character you want in the Convene, there's a 50/50 mechanic, this means you may win or lose, If you got the 5 star character you want, you won, if you get the wrong 5 star character, you lost. This type of mechanic is not for people who get frustrated so easily.


- Farming Echos can also be frustrating

The Echos itself are not frustrating, trying to get the correct substats for your character can be frustrating, because it may get the wrong substats. For example, your Damage Dealer character needs Crit Rate/DMG substats, but the echo gets DEF substats, something the character don't need at all.


- Wuthering Wave's developers are generous

Every certaing amount of time, the developers will send to every player valuable rewards, Astrites most of the time, this allow every player to have more luck in the Convene.


- Difficult challenges

At some point, you will encounter challenges that are hard to complete, even for 5 star characters, all will depends in how good are your skills.
