Game Doesn't See Savegames

I spent my day off yesterday playing Ceres that I just bought. I created a number of savegames and was looking forward to continuing my game today. Now when I go into the game it doesn't see any savegames at all. I restarted a couple of times with the savegames last night so it was working then.

I went looking for savegame files and found them under \AppData\LocalLow\Jotunn Games\Ceres\Averrill. I have game version 1.1.7.5.

Why doesn't Ceres see my savegames? This is very disheartening. I don't want to invest hours of time into this game if it is just going to be lost the the next I go to play it.

My version in the game's main menu still says it is version 1.1.7.5. I don't see version 1.1.8.0 listed anywhere.

How do we know we have the new patch?

Okay this is looking a bit weird. I think the upload to Steam must have been corrupted or something. I'm going to do a new build for windows.

Also, the save game should not be lost. I'm very careful about that!

Thankfully I did not get drunk last night, so I'm pretty sure I've found the bug. I'll be doing a quick upload right now for all platforms.

Thank you! Your bug fix seems to work. I can see and load my savegame files now. I verified my game cache in steam and then the patch downloaded and installed.

The game version at the main menu still says 1.1.7.5 though. I would recommend you change it so people will know they have the patch.

All I did was a rollback to the previous version. I'll be uploading a new build in a about an hour or so. So yes, the game shows the old version number :)

Using version 1.1.8.0 now.

The game isn't seeing any save games to load since Dec 13, yet there should be several saves to load from yesterday Dec 31.

Maybe something related to a date switch to 2016?

No, It just checks the folder containing the save games.
They are located at C:\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalLow\Jotunn Games\Ceres\<user>

The Save game folder is actually connected to your user name. Maybe you changed it?

I see a lot of save files from yesterday at the \Ceres\ level, while the old saves were at \Ceres\<user>.

As a work-around I'll copy those Dec 31 saves down to \Ceres\<user>.

Edit: The folder "CurrentGameSession" was also being updated in the \Ceres\ folder instead of in the \Ceres\<user> folder yesterday Dec 31.

Can't see save games either, ubuntu 14.04.
Edit: Had a weird username, with a lot of punctuation symbols, changed it to "opfor", now (new) savegames appear.

Hi same for me,downloaded from steam today[29/1/2016]saved,shut down,came back 2 hours later,no saved game.any advice would be cool,thanks.

Sorry for the late reply. Save game is related to your name. Special characters and such might make the save games unreachable. You can copy the save games easily to a new location. Just copy everything to a new location. I'm planing on changing the save game so that it is stored under the User ID, not name.
