Won't play on my Windows 11 System

I've tried all different compatibility options and no matter what I try, I cannot get this game to run. Ryzen 9 cpu, RX 7600 XT Graphics & TUF Gaming B650-Plus Motherboard with 128 GB RAM. Can anyone tell me how to get this game to run please?

It just doesn't seem to. Needs an update. Win 11 just seems to not want to work with a lot of older games. About to refund as I just bought it, fortunately I only "wasted" $1.49 on it because of the current sale

I just got the game running on my end ( windows 11 ) Right click the game on steam and select properties, from there you will see the selected launch option, make sure this is selected to setup gaurdian of light. Once that has been done click play and it should run a few set up files such as direct x, once complete go into launcher and select resolution and settings. Once all has completed, go back into properties and change launch option to play gaurdian of light and the click play and it should run perfectly. Hopefully this helps a few folks.

I fixed this today by manually installing the extra requirements for the game.

When you first launch the game it is meant to install DotNet 3.5 and Visual C++ Redistributable 2005 but it doesn't. I manually installed them and now it works.

Here's what I did:

Install DotNet 3.5
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=21

Install Visual C++ Redistributable 2005 (this is an all in one pack, you only need to install 2005 x64)
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/

Opened Steam, right clicked on the game and clicked on Properties, clicked on Installed Files, clicked on Verify integrity of game files.

Ran the game from Steam, chose Setup Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

Game setup opened, I chose the settings I wanted.

Ran the game again, chose Play Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

Game started fine!

if you install game and it doesnt run, try uninstall and install again
