Same, anyone found a fix/work around ?

Ok, I managed to fix it. It turns out that on Windows 10 the game sets itself in compatibility mode with Windows 8. Try unchecking that, it worked for me. I hope it helps.

I had this problem just a few hours ago. I just uninstalled/reinstalled and it worked.

Can you explain where you found that? I don't see it? I'm looking at the game properties via steam or am I looking in the wrong area?

No no, just go to the game folder. Right click on the .exe file and go to properties. On the compatibility tab uncheck the compatibility mode.

Tried this but no luck. My compatibility mode wasn't even checked in the first place. Also Windows 10.

Okay, verifying game cache prompted me to download a 3.3mb update and that made the game finally work with Windows 10.

Right click a game title in steam --> Properties --> Local Files --> Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Wait for it to finish, try playing.
If it still fails, restart steam, try playing again.

Failing that, Try deleting the games and re-downloading them.
