Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light: Game Crashes after loading to the main menu with lowest settings on the new PC will not work.

I can't get the game to work on windows 10 home. I have tried several different methods to get the game running and nothing seems to be working out for me.

I have read through several discussion pages and attempted different things listed by other steam members from past posts.

I've got the same issue, but with Windows 11. It was working a week ago, and it just stopped. All my driver's are up to date and I tried running it in compatibility mode too.

Did you run setup first? I ran setup and it had to install some old Direct and and some C++ suff or some other. It ran but very badly, probably not made for 8+ cores?

Shortcut >
Click on empty field under "Type the Location of the item" and Copy Past next command WHILE PRESERVING INSTALLATION PATH ADDRESS >

cmd.exe /c cd /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" && start /affinity 7FFFFFFF lcgol.exe

Press "Next" >
Press "Finish" >
Run created shortcut

This step is mandatory and runs automatically on first run, no need in doing it manually.

As I said, Older games were not made for a SHIPT load of cores. Many times you have to disable them to get the games to run as intended.

I have an old 3rd gen i5, 4 WHOLE CORES!- RX580 I even run 4k. Yet to find a game that will not work on my old trusty rig. I do not get 600 fps , But I have never been a FPS junky as long as the game is smooth I can careless how many I am getting Movies start at 18 fps and very rarely go above 24 fps - ever see any stutter? I have way too many years in gaming to get caught up in nonsense!
