How Do I Increase Defense and Strength
I’ve been farming a lot in this game, defeated about a dozen dungeon bosses but I’m getting my ass handed to me by the hordes.

I’m at level 65 with a defense of 51 and strength of 24!! I get that my defense will increase as I get/compound better armor pieces, but how the heck do I increase strength to match my level if the only thing I can equip to increase my strength is a weapon? The shield, bow or arrows don’t increase my strength.

So far I’ve enjoyed this game for the past 20+ hours I’ve played, but I’m getting annoyed of my strength being so low.

Any pointers to become stronger is much appreciated!

Perhaps you're looking at this the wrong way. Hordes are, by definition, meant to be very difficult to handle. That's why they only appear once every seven days. Essentially, you need to focus on building your castle defenses in order to handle them. The first couple of hordes you can actively defeat on your own, but after that, it should be the castle that takes care of them. Your main focus at that point is to make sure your castle doesn't get destroyed and has enough ammo so it can keep attacking the horde. Of course, the overarching goal is to get to Valhalla, so it's up to you whether you try to do that as quickly as you can or not. The longer it takes you to build the portal, the stronger the hordes will get, so your castle defenses have to be upgraded regularly to handle this. There is a max. upgrade limit for the castle, so presumably the hordes also have a proportional limit - I'm not too sure about this, but I do know that the castle can handle hordes past Day 120 with this strategy.

As long as you keep working towards better equipment, brew potions, and get charms, you're doing everything you need to do to handle the regular mobs and bosses.

That makes sense to me. Basically, my Viking should focus on being strong enough to beat dungeon and mine bosses, while my castle should be upgraded and equipped to handle the attacks from hordes.

I realized my caste is upgraded to a good level, but I’m lacking on shell ammo. I’ll make sure those are stocked and upgrade the castle as much as I can.

Thank you!
