Any idea? It flashes for a second but just refuses to run

This was actually our first Windows game. When it was first released, it was called Entrepreneur. Unfortunately, Entrepreneur Magazine didn't like that so when we made v2.0, we re-branded it, The Corporate Machine. This was the first RTS I ever worked

If your game starts with screen cut off on sides then change the resolution in screen settings in Windows to 800x600. Then start the game, it should be displayed now properly. Close the game, change resolution back to standard 1920x1080 or whatever you used before the problem occured. Now the game should be displayed properly....

Are they currency required to use cards and add when you discover an area which has it?

Is it for a highscore or does it have a use? I don't recall seeing a score when I had won They amass in various tabs like research
