I too wanted to use keyboard controls for my arcade cabinet and don't want to rely on other software to make it work. Would it be too much trouble for developers to allow the use of keyboard for all 4 players? I use a ipac controller that allows multiple keys to be detected at the same time so I shouldn't have this issue like my other arcade games for 4 player coop.

Regarding the developers laziness on the matter; it could be something with the engine, or it could just really not be worth their time for a $10 game from years ago. Look at every DotEmu game -- they're practically built for arcade machines and they also limit keyboard to player 1.
