Here's what to do if the game crashes

Hello everybody,

We are in the process of implementing automatic crash reporting so we can work on the problems that you might encounter. Waiting for this to be deployed, we would be grateful if you could manually send the crash reports our way to help us fix the bugs that might have slipped through. Here's how:

- Go in c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\local\bios\saved\logs
(Remember to replace USERNAME with whatever windows username that you use).
- There will be one folder per crash with long names similar to UE4CC-Windows-ABCDE... Sort the folders by date to figure out which one corresponds to the latest crash.
- In that folder, check for a .dmp file. Send it by email to [e-mail] and briefly explain what you were doing, the map you were playing if any, etc.
- If you get multiple crashes and they all seem to be the same, they probably are. You only need to submit once.

I'll be looking into each report and follow-up directly with you.

Also, you need to understand that certain crashes are too deep for UE4 to generate proper information. Graphics driver crashes are notable exceptions. I'll still try to help you as best as I can, so send an email anyway and we'll see what we can do.

Any advice for R9 300 series driver crashes? I've used the recommended 15.15 from AMD, 15.7.1 from AMD, and 15.20 from both the XFX disc and Windows 10 auto updating, and I can't get past a certain point in the first level

Could you check if there is any .dmp file in the location specified in the first post of this thread? That would help figure out what's happening.

I checked, but don't have anything there, it's definitely the graphics drivers. They have only crashed with BIOS and Ark: Survival Evolved so far.

Ark and BIOS are both games using UE4, so I expect that either AMD or Epic will address this crash in a near update (we stay very close to the latest version of UE4). In the mean time, it's very hard for us to debug this without having a crash dump or more information. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you can share anything else that could help!

We're not ready to show stuffs yet.
Ideally our communication plan is going to be mostly similar to BIOS, quiet then boom.

I keep getting this crash where I see the "Pixyul" and "BIOS" screens but after that it crashes and says "Reload has stopped working." I was able to get to the main menu once but when I pressed "Options" it crashed again. The c:\users\USERNAME\appdata\local\bios\saved\logs folder is empty.

Sorry for the delay on getting back to you. Could you please send your dxdiag information to [e-mail] so I can take a look at it and make sure nothing is out of the ordinary?

It's very weird that you're getting random crashes just in the main menu... Do you have any other app with unusual stability issues on your PC?

It would be nice if you could fix the issue of the game running in (unusable, obviuosly) VR mode, if a Rift is connected to the computer.

Long time since any news... abandoned? I had hopes for this game. At least reduce the "1 million kills" achievement like you said you would so your customers can complete what you did put out. 1 million is too grindy, and grindy just makes you play a game until you hate it, or drop it. Be nice to the completionists!
