So are they incompetent? Yes, from lack of experience. That's just the reality of it, Hopefully they'll slowly patch this game into a stable state, like they did with Dynasty Warriors 8.
Edit: Btw, Koei Tecmo of #insertcountry are all just office branches. All they do is handle announcements and the red-tape involved with publishing.
All of their actual development staff and studios are in Japan.
I stand corrected, but DW6 was released 7 years ago. That's a long time to be out of the loop.
But yeah, here's hoping that they're able to iron out the kinks.
And seriously, let's just talk about graphics options for a moment. It doesn't take years of experience to find out what industry standards are, it takes like a five minutes in google. There's literally no excuse for a lack of FOV sliders for instance in a game like this, none, it takes no virtually no additional effort on the part of the developers to include basic options like that. It's like they're trying to deliberately sabotage reception of their game or something, either they're incredibly inept, or they just don't care.
Maybe if I played it I'd like to turn down Field of View to improve performance, maybe I wouldn't see it as all that relevant if I tended to view everything from an isometric angle.
I can only conclude that you're trolling.
