Winter transfer update

Hi guys!
I downloaded the "Winter Transfer Update" for CM 2010. I read It really improves many aspects of the game as well as updates players transfers to February 2010.
However I cannot install the update, probably because I have the steam version of the game (like most of you) and when I run the setup this message showed up:
The setup has detected that no version of Championship Manager 2010 is installed.
This update requires that a previous version of the application be installed.

I even moved the game folder to C:\\Programs Files\Eidos and tried again to install the update, but with no results.
Anyone has found a workaround to install this patch?

Have you tried "C:\Program Files (x86)\Eidos\Championship Manager 2010" instead? Failing that, it may be an idea to get in touch with their support team to see if they can help.

Yep, but with no luck. I guess there is no more a support team to ask about it after so many years.
Have you tried to install the update? Maybe it's just me, I don't know.

Not with the Steam version I couldn't. Such a shame really as I like the simplicity of this game compared to its more popular counterpart.

I did message the support team over a year ago about a date crash (19.9.2019) but they advised me to go on a holiday in the game and do nothing to my team. Still can't find the option to do that.

Unfortunately updates stop at December 2009.
The major update I posted at the top of this thread is missing.
