Refund if Servers go offline?
So if the servers go offline and essentially make the game useless, can we request refunds?

Why not? If a game become unplayable surely that's grounds for atleast a refund as steam credit?

There are no rules against releasing competitive multiplayer games without bots.

No.. And it all depends on Steam refund rules, I guess you got to have less than 2 weeks and less than 2h played or something like that; but no, they wont refund you if the servers shut down

No. Read the Steam ToS. Steam could shut down any minute and delete all profiles and you would not get a refund.

You just outlined the main issue with DRM, even though we pay for product we never really own them.

This is not entirely true in past interviews they have commented that IF Steam were to shut down people would be given time to download what they can in a DRM free format and make back ups if developers chose to work with it and even currently there are many games you can download on Steam and run without having Steam up or logged in.

As someone who thought lawbreakers was a piece of ♥♥♥♥, no, it wasn't robbery
you knew exactly what to expect when you got into an exclusively multiplayer game, and this particular game has had "the game is dying" threads for almost its' whole lifespan.
robbery would be you paying for the game, and not getting the game. You got the game, but the game got trashed.

well if the dude expected a lot of people to play the game he sure was wrong but again whats the point of paying for a game that dosen't even have enough players

Sure, that's Steam being a responsable company, but it is true.. On the Steam ToS they lend you the games, you don't own it, thus if the comapny were to dissappear, they can close every account and you can't do anything legal, as you signed the ToS

Well they did shutdown because they can no longer maintain the company... so even if they wanted to they can not, but yea every multiplayer only game will be dead in like 10 years i presume , so no, no refunds .

Not necessarily... Radical Heights servers aren't going down yet, keeping a server up isn't that hard, what is hard is keeping the transactions, updates, fixing bugs and so on.. Since they aren't gonna do any of that, they can easily keep LB servers up

That’s like saying I bought a new car and the thing doesn’t ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work, so yet that’s my choice???? When the car is expected to work in the first place, law breakers was expected to be a popular game and keeping the game when the servers are not even gonna be around anymore is a no no, just like my car if it doesn’t work don’t keep it!
