“The person who is savvy enough to want to have a good PC to upgrade their video card, is a person who is savvy enough to know [BitTorrent] to know all the elements so they can pirate software. Therefore, high-end videogames are suffering very much on the PC.”
Well, Cliff Bleszinski officially apologized today at the Games Awards 2015.
Bleszinski said that he was wrong about that statement, asked PC gamers to simply let it go, confirmed that the PC is the superior platform, and that he prefers playing multi-platform titles on the PC.
He only apologized because he wants to make money, as he only makes shooters, and shooters work better in pc (kb + mouse), and also he was making this game, that is a fast paced shooter, wich makes it even more fit for PC.
But beeing the uber optimistic guy you are, you would probably deny that someone can say something and apologize because they can get something out of it.
For those that don't know, Clifford made an effort to damage PC gaming by lying about and discouraging devlopment for the PC game market. Of course, making money off console exclusive deals had nothing to do with it, isn't that right Cliff?
Of course, its up to the individual gamer, as to whether they support this type of behaviour but you know, when the guy that you are giving your money to, is the same guy that trired to kill development for your platform. . . . .
So, no, cliffy b. Not even for free buddy, not even for free.
PD: for the people asking having your account private is a FUNCTION of Steam if you don't like it go tell them. Stop trying to make arguments around it because it's just stupid
I'm enjoying LB but I simply refuse to financially support this sleazy person.
LB is a good game and it's a real shame that it is associated with this guy.
Whatever happens to LB, I wish everyone a good time. Peace out
I mean it has to be pretty serious to boycott a game over it.
You mean a mature healthy adult. Don't worry, you might get there one day. You're bitter at life and yourself, it's alright, one day you'll find a woman to replace the slut that cheated on you and left you for a thug. :)
He doesn't have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to apologize for though, this was a very, very legitimate concern at the time for developers to be building PC only titles. Not all of us, but definitely a decent amount of us are at fault here for excessive DRM and companies trying to find ways to protect their titles from piracy - or outright abandoning PC as a whole.
It's no surprise that Cliffy B thought this way either, Unreal is probably in the top 10 of most pirated games of all time. You'd be bitter too.
