TAA makes the game look worse?
Hey all,

Anyone else also experiences the fact when you select TAA as anti aliasing option, it makes the game look really blurry / artifacts? Even FXAA looks better than TAA.

My specifications:

Intel i7-2600k
16 GB DDR3
GeForce GTX 970

TAA can be quite good to eliminate jaggies but it tends to blur textures a lot in a ton of games. I didn't even try TAA when I saw FXAA was available because it's usually enough for me for a fast paced game like that.

It looks really as if the game is being rendered at a lower resolution. If I'm not mistaken, Battlefield, Battlefront and Titanfall also use TAA, but there the results look very good.

Don't use it if you don't like it... Not really much of a discussion here

yes TAA create artifact and blur the game that's how it is, but the result vary from game to game

The reason I put this up for discussion was if other players experienced the same results or that it was only on my side. It's kind of misleading that every option in the dropdown menu resembles the highest setting for the game, which assumes that TAA is the best anti aliasing option.

Thank you for your answer, I appreciate it.

Get used to it, buddy. Thats how Epic Games made their new engine. In Paragon FXAA is not even an option - you are left with blurry TAA or insane jaggies with disabled AA.

You can either force AA through your graphics card driver or enable supersampling and run the game at a higher resolution that your native one.

that's why you don't use TAA/TXAA. awful, smeary-looking textures. i dunno how other people stand it, but it hurts my eyes.
