You can imagine how disappointed I was paying $60 for the 10 hour campaign of New Order... only 3 hours longer for me yet 3x the price.
Yep, it should have been free. After playing it I found it cheap and like I said, I did it in 7.5hrs and that's with a lot of time finding secrets which I don't usually do. So in reality I could have done it in 5hrs. I honestly thought the end-boss was middle of the story. Then was the credits and I said, WTF. That's my opinion like it or not.
I don't care for lame challenges that mean nothing to anyone but me. It's a cheap cop-out for what would have been better, Deathmatch and TDM. Anyway, I'm not really looking for approval or negativity just originally stating my opinion after wasting my money on this. But calling me a troll? Seriously? You pissed me off so I figured I'd waste a few more minutes of my life posting here again.
I won't be buying any further 'standalone DLC' for Wolfenstein so I won't trouble you with my opinion on this franchise. They already got enough of my money.
I wouldn't mind MP either, but I certainly wouldn't expect it in a $20 add on and I feel that they took the time to add a challenge mode with a scoring system to be an enjoyable alternative.
As for me pissing you off... good... your 'opinion' pisses me off.
Are there any modern corridor shooters that you feel were worth the money? If you say New Order... you think 3 extra hours and less gameplay was worth $60 and this near non-stop action at $20 wasn't worth it?
This is why we can't have nice things. An awesome standalone DLC for a fair price comes out packed with more action than a full title and its a waste of money. I guess if it had 3 more hours of cutscenes it would have been worth it.
in my opinion, $20 for 7.5 hours of entertainment is a pretty good deal !
Also, you weren't looking around very much if you only ended out with 50% of the secrets.
Getting through the game as fast as others do seems so foreign a concept to me, but don't doubt that they're still experiencing the majority the game has to offer even if they don't go for all the side achievements or secrets or whatnot. There's not that much extra gameplay in picking up all the gold, especially if you unlock the perk to show them all on your map - very few are off the beaten path.
In the end, it's kinda like there's a skill tax - the better you are, the less value you get out of the game because you finish it quicker. The bonus levels from the original Wolf 3D was kinda fun though, even if the game mechanics make it easier than it would've have originally been - if they'd thought to port over all the episodes, that would've been a pretty simple and cheap on production value way to add a bit more content to the game, even if as just a bonus.
I can't tell if you're being serious. This is an expansion pack, albeit a standalone one, and its price reflects that. It's not trying to pass itself off as a full-priced game, it's passing itself off as a standalone expansion at a budget price which reflects what it is. You got over 7 hours out of it, and you think that's something that should be given out for free? I'm not keen on this word being overused by the gaming community, but 'entitled' is about the only word that describes this attitude - and guess what, you're entitled to nothing.
"It should have been free" and "I did it in 7.5 hours" are two statements that don't directly sit well together. There are hundreds, probably thousands of full-priced games that can be completed in less than 7 hours, and the quality of many of those falls far below what's on offer here.
On the flip-side, I never play competitive multiplayer games, but generally I don't consider myself to have been hard done by simply because I have no interest in a specific game mode. That's my issue, not the publisher or developer's.
Also, he asked if you were trolling, he didn't call you a troll, and in fairness, it certainly is something that needs clarification. Your opinions on the matter are so contradictory and at odds with themselves that it genuinely is difficult to tell if you're being serious about this. The notion, for example, that this should have been free is particularly ludicrous, and not one that I'm willing to bet many people will read with any great sincerity.
Again, they didn't keep what this is a big secret from you, and the implication that they somehow tricked you into buying something that wasn't what you expected is a bit disingenuous. It seems to be rather more your failing than theirs, if I'm perfectly honest.
I play on Uber difficulty so it has much to do with it.
I think that maybe they could say the expected time to play. You got a point.
No... he doesn't have a single one.
