How long is it???
20 bucks is reasonable for an 8 hour game but not for something you can knock out in about 1-2 hours......its not

because it just amazes me the laziness of people. this has been asked so many freaking times not to mention simple google search would give you an answer...

6-8 hours. Took me 7 on the second highest difficulty though I took things pretty slow. $20 for a game this long is more than fair considering a lot of shooters with multiplayer campaigns (looking at you Call of Duty) are actually less than that.

Also trek554 is right. The search feature is right in the upper right of the screen and there have been over half-a-dozen threads asking this question.

You could have just ignored the thread.......But sorry for ruining your whole life today.....

It took me 12 hours. Others said it took them 8 hours, and some others said it took them 4 hours... so figure....

I'm sure I'm the slow one though...

Anyway, it has tonnes of content for its price and doesn't feel like a SP Call of duty X rip off.

what in the hell could you have possibly done for 12 hours? I just started the last chapter and I am at 4:17 of actual game time and I certainly did not rush as I like to look around.

Maybe we have two different opinions on "rushing" and "looking around" then. Plus I sneak a lot in the game.

I don't think the in-game time is 100% correct, I am not sure how it count deaths and such.

but to answer your question, the game took me about 8 hours to finish on the hardest difficuly. I certainly wasn't in a rush, and I did make a few mistakes here and there and died to to the enemy when I shouldn't have.

I did however also make a few stops, to look around for some of the secrets that can be found in the game. I know I didn't find them all, but now that I have finished the game, i can always go back and collect them.

I am sure if you don't care about the secrets, skip the cinematics, the in-game talks, and play on a lower difficulty, then you can certainly complete the game alot faster.

In fact, there is a speed runner who got the game down to 1hour and 17minutes now.

It took me 7 hours to finish part one on "bring em on" I missed a lot of collectibles too. Haven't start part 2 yet. I can't believe this game was only 20 bucks. It's fantastic and definitely repayable.

7 hours according to the actual game time or Steam time? if thats the actual time spent playing the game then what the ♥♥♥♥ did you do for 7 hours to only get half way through? ether the timer is messed up for some of you guys are just odd as hell.

I don't get it either. I think its a combination of just not being very good at games and also wanting to collect everything/explore every nook & cranny & texture in the entire game first time through. In the library, for example, I spent about 5-10 minutes trying to figure how to get behind the sliding wall. After that time I just gave up.... 'I'll get it on a replay". I kind of play games as if I'm really there. I want to absorb all the story and find as much as I can but I'm in a dangerous situation and I can't spend too much time goofing around.

People can beat the game in however long it takes them but the only thing that bugs me about the people who take exceedingly long times to beat a game is they come into these forums and give false impressions to the AVERAGE gamer that a game is WAY longer than it is.

I fall into the main + extras category (I TRIED to do everything including Nightmares) and I finished right in that 7 hour range. I fall into that category for most games... I'm 'more' than a 'main story' gamer, but less than a 'completionist' gamer. I AM a completionist, but I don't mind finishing everything in following playthroughs instead of everything the first time.
