its the engine the same thing happened in RAGE another game using this engine i guess it was an issue that was never able to be fixed so thats why the new DOOM game is on ID tech 6 instead of this engine as i guess they could never figure out how to fix the texture pop in problem so just made a new engine instead

I have the exact same issue as in the video. Running a MSI GTX970. Have tried all the fixes posted in these threads, nothing seems to be working.

yeah the texture popping is pretty noticeable. and damn those textures are ugly as hell too if you get close at all.

The fix found on this forum helped it a little, but it didn't remove the problem. It made it less noticeable. Man, I wanna like this game but on PC it's a real mess...

Artifacting! It is obviously a driver problem!!!!! id tech 5 has nothing to do with this! Try to tweak max ppf settings.....as well as cuda transcode....as well as texture compression settings.

well to be fair, I find the aliasing WAY more of a nuisance. really this and the previous game have the worst crawling I have ever seen. even using AA and running 4k DSR on small 23 inch screen still leaves crap ton of aliasing. 1080 looks like most other games at freaking 800x600 when it comes to aliasing.

turn off the in game vsync as that what was causing the artifacting for me.

Lets face it, the engine is a joke. It makes the game unplayable for me. The texture fade in or pop in. Ridiculous. Have you seen the detail and vast maps made with the Frost Bite engine? Not a single pop or bad texture issue there. Pathetic.

I don't understand why you guys get texture pop-in. That hasn't occurred for me in this or TNO. It's gotta be something with your configuration.

In advanced graphics:
Turn VirtualTexture Cuda Acceleration OFF and VirtualTexture MaxPPF 64, stopped artifacting for me after that.
