Yes.
idTech5 was designed with a 60fps cap. As people have shown in RAGE and Wolf:TNO... unlocking the cap is possible, but not advised as it screws up the games.

Yeah don't try to uncap Wolfie - animations speed up the higher your framerate goes. I believe gunfire too, but I might not be remembering that too well.

Then people with a 120 hertz screen got a big problem, because i dont like it when the game is capped @ 60 hertz, if u use a 120 hz screen, feels laggy.

Did the sceen have an option to use 60 HZ?

A fair criticism. Nah, you can only max it at 60FPS/60Hz.

Yes he's just being a fps junkie. Owning a 144hz monitor I understand but I can live with anything from 60-144

What's wrong with him wanting a higher framerate? Hell, I'd LOVE a higher framerate and I'm playing at 60hz. Higher framerates = less input latency, fact. It is objectively better.

I don't see your point. Do you see everything as bad? I'm a sports junkie a game junkie woman junkie and so on. Why have you decided it's a bad thing?

Capped at 60? Lame!

You can unlock it, simply add +toggle com_synctotime to the launch options in Steam. It now looks buttery smooth on my 120hz monitor :). There are reports of this speeding peoples game up and causing bugs however this did not happen to me. If it does you can fix it by typing ‘r_syncatendframe’ in the dev console whilst in-game.

Hope this helps.

60fps gives me motion sickness :(
Damn :( Really wanted to play this one, but 60 fps looks like and old movie from 1914 on an 144hz monitor.

Play at 59fps and you wont get motion sickness
