Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

This game will have zombies.
Not a joke, Bethesda made a little teaser about it.

Also, I will say just in case to people who is gonna complain about zombies (yeah, I know they're overused nova days though).

Almost ALL Wolfenstein series ALWAYS had undead or undead-like creatures in them. Mutants from original Wolfenstein 3D and some of it's expansions (from what I remember, they're supposed to be reanimated corpses used as some kind of super-soldiers). Ghosts from it's Spear Of Destiny expansion. Zombies, mummies, ghouls and ghosts from RTCW and I think that this super-soldiers things can count too, but I highly doubt it. Revenants from Wolfenstein (2009). And I think that MAYBE super-soldiers in WTNO can count as some kind of reanimated corpses used as soldiers for Nazi army, but they're most likely just brainwashed mutilated humans.

So, please, I am not protecting that zombie overusement, but if you're gonna say that they doesnt fit Wolfenstein, please, take a look at Wolfenstein games besides WTNO.

I would love to see the Ninja Nazi Babes back as well and quick saves instead of annoying checkpoints .
Supernatural stuff from RTCW and feel from the earlyer games except the 09 version that was ported crap

That actually looks pretty cool. I figured that was a zombie in the trailer that fell through the basement but couldn't get a good look at it.

Zombies, the zombie theme is getting a bit overused.

Wolfenstein has been doing it since '92. So I'd say its ok.

No offense, but have you read that what I wrote, or you only looked at thread's name?

Yep, I knew it was a zombie too. Tbh I expected these mummified corpses, warriors and various demons to make an appearance besides nazi zombies too though.

It's a public forum. Last I checked I don't need your permission to state an opinion. What I'm implying is that, yes Wolfenstein is renowned for the zombie theme, however surely they can come up with something different instead of the same old rinse and repeat elements. You know, innovate instead of stagnate, get out of the comfort zone and experiment a tad. Or is that such a bad thing o.0

They've already done that different thing with TNO. TOB is a new take on the first two chapters of RtCW and seems to be aimed at the fans of said game. So, yeah it would be a bad thing if they strayed too far from established elements.

Just like DogMeat already said, thats why the game is called Wolfenstein The Old Blood, cause it tryes to have the feeling of previous entries from the series.

dunno about zombies but TNO does have undead - the Supersoldaten. The artbook basically refers to them as Frankensteins.
Smokedice 11 ABR 2015 a las 7:52 a. m.
Most people are just plain dumb. The undead were in quite a few wolfenstein games, in 3d, RTCW, and 2009. But they're going all like "OOH OOH! NAZI ZOMBIES! WHAT IS THIS OVERUSED COD THING?!"
Mr. Fibble 15 ABR 2015 a las 4:37 a. m.
Old blood in the title could easily be a nod towards the walking corpses.

Zombies, flying pigs with machineguns, nazi mechs. Its all fine. Its fun.
Now if we could for once, just for once, play as the germans.
Like some sort of Nazi superhero equivalent to Blazkowitz with lots of dark humor and comedy put inside.
Some sort of tribute to all those 60s ww2 movies with Clint Eastwood but from the german perspective.

The problem is If people would try something like that nova days, game will get banned and bad-mouthed in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of places, maybe even boycotted right after it will be announced. There is exceptions though, like Sniper Elite 1, but as I remember (I can be wrong though) you play here as a german soldier who is a part of resistance and againt nazis, and against soviets who invaded Germany (thus why it got bad mouthed by many russian gamers back then, though still the game was released in Russia, but localisation team changed the plot a bit to avoid controversy). Also, some multiplayer games give you opportunity to play as germans, but they do not portray nazis as heroes or something. First Company Of Heroes even has a major add-on based around nazi soldiers, but it doesnt really portray them heroic or something either.

The original Wolfenstein didn't have zombies. There were mutants and ghosts, but no zombies that I recall.

They're very similar.

Basically reanimated corpses from Dr. Schabbs korpsokinetic serum.
