Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

[possible spoilers] So... will Blazkowicz turn into a zombie upon death? :P
Zombies in the game were created because back when alive the people had been exposed to the gas from underneath Wulfburg. The gas "triggers" the zombie effect upon death and since Blazkowicz was exposed to the gas will he turn into a zombie too upon death? :P

Too many unknown variables.
Does the effect have a minimum time of exposure, is it confined by distance to the tomb, etc.

I think the tomb had little to do with it. As in, there wasn't really "magic" involved. It was pure chemical / biological reaction and thus if the same gas was spread elsewhere (as a chemical weapon) it would work. Wasn't it mentioned in the game that nazi wanted to use it as a weapon?

Painful spelling there, bud..:spazhorror:. BJ isn't necessarily dead, at the end of the credits for New Order, you hear a helicopter taking off, maybe a hint at BJ's rescue.

...that was them flying off he did not tell them where he was i doubt they noticed him as they where flying away. you could know what the end of the game would be if you payed atition man it says it in opening cutsceen and throughout the game. there where sines all over the place.

If they had simply flown away, the scene wouldn't have been put at the end of the credits as a "cliffhanger" ;)

i need to go look at it i forgot about that part

well ether they went back to find him or they dident. some people think this is the last game as deaths head has never been killed in any game both him and bj allways get away. thats not much of a clif hanger the only clif about it is after credits hearing the choper. it would make sence for them to try to save bj the pilot wold have to tell wyit or fergis that bj was not with them and then they would go back. i would exspect one of them to demand that they go back for bj.

Although Deathshead dies at the end of New Order (maybe not, could be a clone or some other trick), there is still plenty of high ranking officers out there eg, Frau Engel. Just because the head of the Nazi's is gone doesn't mean they are no longer a threat, they still control most of the world...plenty of content left in this games universe....
Patrol1985 May 26, 2015 @ 12:50pm
Exactly, Deathshead wasn't even the head of all the nazi regime. He was simply the man responsible for pushing their technological advances forward (which allowed them to win the war). You don't need Deathshead for a successful Wolfenstein game - both "Wolfenstein 3D" and "Spear of Destiny" lacked Deathshead.

Frau Engel is probably the next "main villain".

EDIT: though technically alive, Deathshead is also missing from "The Old Blood" (he's simply mentioned in some letters etc.)

Honestly, I think Frau Engel is a pretty pathetic villain compared with Deathshead. While I have a lot of complaints about the storytelling and pace of New Order, one positive I'll say about New Order's story was Deathshead. He was the Heath Ledger's Joker of Wolfenstein and he was criminally underutilized in New Order. Also Wolf 3D actually did have Deathshead... sort of. Deathshead, first appearing in RtCW, was designed to be a reboot of Dr. Schabbs from Wolf 3D.
Patrol1985 May 27, 2015 @ 1:52am
Yeah, but Schabbs (and pretty much any other villain in Wolfenstein 3D) was so underdeveloped that I would have never compared him to Deathshead, in terms of depth etc. He was basically "this guy in a doctor's uniform who threw syringes and turned people into zombies". Nothing more could be added to this description.

I don't know. One part that I'm sure was unintentionally hilarious was when BJ falls in the corridor from the poison and everyone just runs off leaving him lying in the corridor. Geez... thanks guys. Probably going to ditch him again.
Patrol1985 May 27, 2015 @ 2:29am
Haha, so I wasn't the only one who thought that! They literally ran PAST him, his hand being outstretched for help and all. I even thought that when later Blazko says to Anya "not for you and me" it was some sort of a comment on this particular situation, him understanding that she doesn't really care or something... but it was so stupid I dismissed it, because it would mean that quite an important plot point and character development process was discarded by a 30 second scene.

I think the devs wanted to achieve a different effect, but perhaps didn't think this entirely through and the impression the player gets is different from what was intended.
